Vijay’s Theri Movie Exclusive Inside Story: Satellite Rights Sold At Untouchable Price (Exclusive)

Vijay was in a bit of disappointment when his last flick which Puli turned out to be a great disappointment. Puli was directed by Chimbu Deven and had a star cast of Sri Devi, Sruthi Haasan, Hansika Motwani and Kicha Sudeep along with Vijay. In spite of the much hype and a great treat of visual effects, Puli failed miserably to impress the audience as well as the critics.

Vijay decided to be strong with the scripts from now on and his upcoming flick Theri is raising expectations to sky high. We also hear that the movie’s shooting is in full swing and the satellite rights of Theri are sold at a whopping 24.5Cr. Vijay is supposedly the second actor whose movie is sold at such a whopping price in Tamil Industry. Earlier Rajinikanth’s Robo and Lingaa were sold at such huge amounts with respect to the satellite rights.

The movie Theri is being directed by Atlee who earlier directed the successful film Raja Rani which had Nayanthara, Arya, Nazriya Nazim and Jai. The movie was a sweet love and relationship story which impressed the audience very much.  Atlee chose an action and thriller based subject for Vijay in his second movie Theri.

Samantha and Amy Jackson paired up with Vijay in this movie. The first teaser of Theri is slated to be released soon. The movie will hit the screens on 14th January 2016 on the occasion of Pongal. Theri’s music is composed by G.V Prakash Kumar while the movie is being made with a whopping budget of 100Cr.

Vijay is a very good actor who always chose good and creative scripts. His movie Kaththi is being remade in Telugu with Mega Star Chiranjeevi playing the lead role. We should wait and watch if Theri also gets dubbed in Telugu.
